Hounding Days-1
M.P.S. Viyyoth
That was a day which is still hounding my life. That day start a shocking bang on my friend’s forehead. Still that marking is stay as a reminder for us.
The incident was happened on 26th Dec. It was on Monday, morning 7:30. We are on the doorway of an express train which is travelling from Trivandrum to Mangalore. We are coming from Thrissur where we attend a literary conference. The time we reached in Kozhikode railway station train compartment seems almost full. Train resume its journey after the short break. When it reaches Tellichery a heavy rush formed from inside the train and pushes us down. My friend lost his balance and fell on the platform. I had catches on the handle and hanged from the train. After I had jumped to the platform and help my friend to wake up. Some of the passenger also gathered around us. Nobody turn to help us, they are eagerly busy to take our pics and sending through social media. My friend’s forehead injured in that fall. We get in the train and resume the journey. Suddenly we noticed a Lady watching us from seat. After some times she came towards and start to asking about us. From her words we realise that she also face the same around two month before. In that discussion we realise she was a famous doctor in Kannur . She was coming from Trivandrum after attending a medical conference. Within that short period we are so friendly, she asked about our business and writings. After few minutes our train reaches Kannur railway station. She force to us for following her toward clinic. From Railway station to her clinic we went along with her. She had provided us proper first aid and drop us to Kannur bus station.
Years goes so faster, Currently we are working as Sub inspectors of Police. I am working in Kozhikode station and my friend is working in Kannur Station. In this time period we partially forget her. One day my friend called and asked me “Do you remember the Star clinic or Dr. Jyothi.?” Within that period I had forget her name but still her smiling face stays with my memories. My silence forces my friend to remind her goodness. After a deep silence he had informed her demise., which happend soon after an accident. When hear that I was shocked because she was like an elder sister to us. But when we are get into our busy life schedule most of the our memories vanished from us. I was fear to face her husband, who forces us to apply for SI selection test. My friend handed over his phone to her husband. In that words I had realise his pain which heart me alot. That incident still hounding me throughout this life.
